Some home problems are emergencies. OurHomeSays treats safety as its own layer: if a hazard is present, we tell you to get out and who to call — never how to open, test, or fix the dangerous system.
If you smell gas or a CO alarm sounds
- Get everyone (and pets) out of the building now.
- Do not touch light switches, phones, or anything that could spark while inside.
- Do not try to find or fix the source.
- From outside and a safe distance, call your gas utility's emergency line or 911.
